Analytical services for bulk materials
We offer analytical services for bulk materials and total fibre counts in air samples.
Our laboratory offers, to professionals and individuals, a possible asbestos containing materials analytical service following IRSST methods. We participate in the following interlaboratory programs: IRSST CQ-Fibres and CQ-Vrac (through our participation in AIHA’s BAPAT program).
Laboratoire Silica proposes analytical services for bulk materials as well as total fibre counts in air samples. We perform our analysis according to the IRSST 244 and 243-1 methods. Floor tiles that require analysis by TEM according to ELAP 198.4 method are subcontracted to a laboratory recognised by the IRSST.
Bulk Materials (PLM) analysis
Asbestos can be found in a large number of various construction materials.
Air (PCM & TEM) analysis
Air sample testing is conducted in working zones and in ambient air.
Floor tiles (TEM) analysis
Certain floor tiles must be analysed by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
